Dr. Shantha Mohan



Dr. Shantha Mohan is a global software engineering leader, author, mentor, and career advisor. She co-founded Retail Solutions Inc. (RSi), a leader in retail data analytics and ran its global product development organization. Her prior experiences include technical and educational consulting, and running worldwide product development for Consilium, a Manufacturing Execution System (MES) company (acquired by Applied Materials). She graduated with a Ph.D. in Operations Management from the Graduate School of Industrial Administration, GSIA (now called Tepper School of Management), Carnegie Mellon University, and her undergraduate degree is in Electronics & Communication is from College of Engineering, Guindy.

She is currently a mentor and project guide at Carnegie Mellon University’s Integrated Innovation Institute.  An active member of the College of Engineering, Guindy, Alumni Association, North America (CEGAANA), she is responsible for serving alumni in the areas of education, career, and entrepreneurship.  Shantha is a life member of Society of Women Engineers (SWE). She is active in social media, sharing her knowledge and learning about technical progress in AI, IoT, Robots/automation.  Equality, diversity, and sustainability are her passions.
