The Indian National Academy of Engineering (INAE) has published a compendium on “Women Engineers in India Vol. 1,” which includes 75 women engineers and scientists.
I am thrilled to have contributed the content on five women engineers who were from my alma mater, The College of Engineering, Guindy (CEG), and featured in Roots and Wings: Inspiring Stories of Indian Women in Engineering.
Ayyalasomayajula Lalitha, P.K. Thressia, and Leelamma George Koshi are the first set of women to graduate in 1943 (degree awarded in February 1944).
May George graduated in 1947, and Rajyalakshmi Reddy in 1948.
Here are some captures from the publication since there is no web access to the book.

My sincere thanks to R.V. Gopalan, my 1971 batchmate from CEG, who kindly received a copy of my book and made these pages available.
